In June 2007 my husband was diagnosed with cancer. He was unable to work until February 2008. I did the best I could to keep up, but in January 2008, I started to fall behind.
I called Wells Fargo and they told me if I paid $1560 a month for three months, they would LOOK at modifing my loan. At the end of the three months, they told me the same thing. After another three months, same story.
In August 2008 my husband was told that his cancer is back and incurable. He is an independent truck driver and can only work when he feels well enough.
Our income has gone from $8000 a month to $3900 gross.
Wells Fargo does not seem at all interested in helping us.
This would be the same Wells Fargo that just received $24 BILLION in tax payer money.
Apparently that wasn't enough, now they want my house too.
I asked if I could refinance through Help for Homeowners, but they said that was only a last resort.
They have my house scheduled for a sheriff sale in January, I'm wondering when it will be time to use the last resort????????????????????
Thanks very much for your support.
